Nov 6th: We’re excited to announce that the Oakville Community Foundation (OCF) will be contributing $15,000 to fund the winning projects of the 2019 TU20 cup. The TU20 Cup is TU20’s annual entrepreneurship competition focused on building students’ tech and entrepreneurial skills.

Every year teams of students work together to build a product, pitch and business plan over the course of an 8 week period that relate to the yearly theme. The themes in the past two years have been on Education and Smart Cities, and this year, TU20 Cup will be themed around supporting the Next Generation, with a focus on youth issues identified in the OCF Vital Youth Report. As part of the grant, winning teams will have the opportunity to implement their solution for a local charity through a paid internship.

The announcement was made at the OCF’s Nov 6th unveiling of their “TALE OF TWO CHILDHOODS”: VITAL YOUTH REPORT” by OCF CEO Wendy Rinella and TU20 Lead Denys Linkov.
